Many days have passed since we first arrived to Peru...and we are very thankful for the people that God has put in our paths. Many new friendships have been made, many words or hugs of encouragement, and most importantly we are thankful for the many prayers that have been lifted up by our brothers and sisters in Christ here in Peru. We still remember prior to boarding the plane over four months ago, how we prayed about struggles we may encounter, hardships of not knowing the language, and the homesickness we would feel. In such a short time, we will have to admit that we have felt them all. Some came unexpected, while others we felt even prior to leaving, as we said our good-byes to our family and friends.
Through it all, God continues to remind us of His love and faithfulness. Through the good and bad times, He has carried us each step of the way. We believe, probably now more than ever, that God is and has always been in control. He created us all for a LOVE relationship with Him. Nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37). He heals broken hearts (Psalm 147:3), He is our help and our shield (Psalm 33:20), and He promises that he is going to work in and through us according to His good purposes (Phil. 2:13). Any struggles or fears we face, none of it compares to the CROSS...as JESUS took the suffering and pain and died on that day for ALL of our sins. Nothing compares to the love He gave for us all so that we would be wiped clean of our sin and have eternal life with HIM!
HE PAID IT ALL!
Thank you Lord, for the friends you have put in our path here in Peru and for the friends that you have given us back home...as so many continue to encourage us on this faith journey. Lord, help us stay focused solely on you and show us that apart from You we can do nothing (John 15:5).
We love you Lord and thank you for all the tough times when you walked beside us and for the many blessings that you have shown us along the way!
"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
~Isaiah 41:10

The night before the wedding with very special friends...Autumn is not sure what all to expect! |
Even with the uncertainty, she loved being pampered with the bridesmaids! |
Thank you Frandy, for loving on Autumn! |
Thank you Anita for making Autumn this beautiful dress... you and your family have been such a blessing to our family since the moment we arrived! |
Autumn, as the flower girl, walking down the aisle in her first Peruvian wedding! |
She loved throwing the flower petals as she came down... but she made sure that she would not look at anyone in the pews for fear she would mess up! |
Beautiful couple and family...making it a priority to have a Christian wedding and seeking God daily to lead their lives as husband and wife. (Many in Peru will choose to just have a civil wedding, leaving God out of the picture, or unfortunately decide not to marry...and have numerous relationships and children outside of the sanctity of marriage!) |
Gleny...life would not be the same here without you. You are an answered prayer in so many ways! |
Still a Daddy's Girl! |
Thank you Lucy for all the love and encouragement, and for being an amazing example for others with your faith and trust in God! |
Sailor and Samuel...TROUBLE! |
Thank you, Norberto, for having me in your wedding! ~Autumn |
Celso, your family is very special to us...THANK YOU for all the support and many prayers that you have lifted up to help encourage us in our Christian walk! |
