"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being ROOTED and grounded in LOVE, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the LOVE of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

SATURDAY ALMA WORKDAY: Thanking God For All The Locals Who Arrived To Volunteer & Help In Digging The Footers For The New Children's Home

Early Saturday morning, many churches and individuals gathered, bringing shovels and wheel barrels to help the ALMA team. The morning began with prayer, thanking the Good Lord, for all of His provisions and faithfulness that He continues to show us all each and every day.

Please continue to pray for the construction of the new children's home. We are so excited to have a team arriving next month from the States to help us with the concrete blocks - as the walls will go up for the bedrooms of the future children living here.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
~Hebrews 10:24-25

Please continue to pray for all the children that one day will be living here - pray that they will be able to live in a loving home and feel the
LOVE of Jesus Christ.

The Inca Avalanche Trail Festival

*Riders from all over the world - from New Zealand to the UK, from Ecuador to Chile, from Canada and the US - descend on Ollantaytambo every year to ride the unbelievable trails, visit Inca ruins, party at Inca festivals and to race the Inca Avalanche. Riders like Chris Van Dine, Filip Polc, Brian Lopes, Cedric Gracia, Aaron Chase and many other legends of the sport have all came to Ollantaytambo to rip the Inca Avalanche Trail Fest. Starting at nearly 16,000 feet of altitude on the backside of one of the 7 Wonders of the World - Machu Picchu, the Inca Avalanche is one of the highest races in the world.

Inca Avalanche is a mass start enduro style downhill mountain bike race. The race is not broken into different stages but rather one continuous run from the start to the finish line - about 5900 vertical feet of descending over approximately 25 minutes, depending on your level of shred !

Sean & River were planning on participating in their first downhill bike race in Peru. Unfortunately, just a week before, while practicing some jumps on his bike, River broke his arm. He was so sad, but so thankful for the opportunity to see his friends participate and ride in the race. Thanks, Dr. Jens Hassfeld, for telling us about this incredible annual downhill bike race near Curahuasi, Peru (in a village called Ollantaytambo) and for letting us be share in this exciting day with your family!

Capturing An Incredible View of Salcantay Covered With Snow

SALCANTAY MOUNTAIN

*Sallqantay in Quechua is the highest peak of the Willkapampa mountain range, part of the Peruvian Andes. It is located in the Cusco Region, about 60 km (40 mi) west-northwest of the city of Cusco. It is the 38th highest peak in the Andes, and the twelfth highest in Peru. However, as a range highpoint in deeply incised terrain, it is the second most topographically prominent peak in the country, after HuascarĂ¡n.

For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth—
the LORD, the God of hosts, is his name!
