"Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.”

HEROES OF THE FAITH
When we think about the story of the Widow's Offering and how she gave everything, we are reminded of the sacrifices that this couple has made. They have very little and they gave up most of the space in their home to help start this new church. Sacrificially giving of themselves and their comforts so that others may know HIM. For us, it is not always the well-known pastors or great speaking evangelists, but the many men and women that we have met this year who have given it all for the sake of the gospel.

Thank you God for all the many blessings you have shown us as we see their courage, trust, and faith that they have in only YOU. Living with so little, they remind us, as Paul has done in Philippians 4:11, how to be content with whatever the circumstances.

What an amazing blessing to see other fellow Christians with such faith and love for others...
they have become our HEROES.
