Finally Arrived to Curahuasi...

This week we finally arrived to Curahuasi - so thankful for all the many prayers and support! We have been busy settling in to our new home, learning about the local markets and stores, and spending time with some of the other missionary families. Thank you Lyndal, Claudia, Konika Wright, Nolan Wright, Stephen Wright & Finley Wright for all the delicious meals and food that you have made for our family and for all the help you have given us. Also, Lake celebrated his first birthday here in Curahuasi (11 years old) - we were so blessed to have some new friends celebrate this special day with us. We will have more updates coming soon - please continue to pray for the construction of the children's home. Our first team arrives on February 10th to help us get started. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN - below are some pictures of Lake's birthday party on top of the mountain.

(For Lake's birthday, we took a LONG scenic route to Cusco ~lots of unexpected car troubles~ but the Lord provided us safety and showed us His beautiful creation along the way! We finally made it and had a great time and good food to celebrate Lake's 11th birthday!)

SPECIAL NEWS ~ A SURPRISE FROM HOME ~ OUR FIRST NEW YEARS (2015) IN PERU WITH FRIENDS & BABY SEPTEMBER

We are so excited to share the news of these sweet little ones. Please continue to pray for Baby September as we are still in the process of fostering her here in Peru and officially making her part of our family~ she has brought our family so much happiness, laughter, and LOVE...and please pray for our precious gift from above as our new little baby continues to grow ~ our hearts were so filled with JOY from the first moment we knew you were coming!

Christmas Party At Belen All Girls Children's Home...

We are so thankful for our friends who helped with this special party! The girls were full of joy as we celebrated with lots of food, music, and shared the AMAZING story of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We wanted to thank so many churches and individuals in the States who helped make this evening possible. Thank you for all the donations and gifts that you helped send for the girls (all the socks, scarves, books, toothbrushes, clothes, bracelets, toys, etc.) and for helping to provide so many with Bibles. The girls enjoyed having a Peruvian Chocolatada (Hot Chocolate & Sweet Bread) and getting their tummies full with delicious chicken & fries. Thank you Anita for the amazing food, Don & Carla for the Christmas music, and to Emily and Cucho for helping to share the miracle and birth of Baby Jesus! We love you all and wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas...thank you again for all the LOVE you that you have shown to these precious girls! They gave us LOTS and LOTS of hugs and kisses last night ~ thanking everyone for sharing Christmas with them!

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
