"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being ROOTED and grounded in LOVE, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the LOVE of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Schools Out For The Heath Kids...Final Exams Completed ~ Ready For Our One Week Summer Break...Heading To Cusco & Curahuasi, Peru

BEFORE OUR TRIP
We asked the kids what they wanted to do on their short one week summer break while we visited the area of Cusco, southern part of Peru. Our new homeschooling year starts soon (August 25th) and they were so excited about finishing this year and looking forward to their next grades. River & Lake will now be in 6th grade, Sailor in 4th, and Autumn is heading to the 2nd grade!

Here is the wish list that we got from the kids:
1) Eat at a good restaurant (USA style) - with NO RICE!
2) Visit Starbuck's (I think they stole this from their parent's wish list) and drink lots of hot chocolate and cold frappuccinos!
3) Try rock climbing....either natural big boulders outside or an official climbing wall! (not sure where?)
4) Go on vacation and not bring reading books
5) Sleep in every morning...
and wake up to a plate of biscuits & gravy!

POST TRIP UPDATES: OUR TIME IN CUSCO
We were so thankful for our time with the kids and to see this beautiful area of Peru and visit other missionaries who are faithfully serving the Lord near this area. What an encouragement it has been to see other believers sharing the love of Jesus Christ in other parts of Peru and using their God given talents to help so many in need. Here are some highlights from our time in Cusco and in Curahuasi. We loved capturing the people, our kids, and day to day life in these beautiful cities. Thank You Lord for your amazing creation and for all the many people that we have met on this faith journey.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God
is with you wherever you go.”
~Joshua 1:9

ARRIVING TO CUSCO, PERU

Ready To Tour The City

First Stop: Starbucks Coffee
....oh, how we have missed you!

All sugared-up and ready to go!

We heard about this restaurant (below) from our missionary friends....words cannot fully describe the AMAZING taste of their delicious food! We honestly think it was the best restaurant that we have ever been to...or is this just from all the restaurants only having rice, beans, and guinea pig?

DAY TWO OF EXPLORING
THE CITY OF CUSCO

We finally found a rock climbing wall for the boys. Autumn was so sad...she was not old enough or big enough to climb!

After 2 days in the city, we all headed to Curahuasi (3 hour road-trip) to meet other missionaries serving in this area!
~the views and mountains were amazing
in this small little village~

FINDING MORE ROCKS TO CLIMB
with other missionary kids

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork."
~Psalm 19:1

So thankful for the new friends that we have met and for our time in the beautiful area of Curahuasi. May God continue to bless His work in this village and the missionaries who are faithfully serving!
