"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being ROOTED and grounded in LOVE, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the LOVE of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Refugio - Calvary Chapel Missionaries Help Host Global Cane Outreach

“And I will lead the blind
in a way that they do not know,
in paths that they have not known
    I will guide them.
I will turn the darkness before them into light,
the rough places into level ground.
These are the things I do,
and I do not forsake them.”
~Isaiah 42:16

GLOBAL CANE OUTREACH HELPS MANY IN PERU
*Mission Statement: The mission of Global Cane Outreach is to equip and train the blind and illiterate in other countries with canes and audio bibles. Christ’s love is demonstrated through the giving of canes, mobility, independence and sharing God’s word.

In 2010 Beverly Crook had the idea to establish Global Cane Outreach for the Blind as a way to provide white canes and mobility training while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the blind in developing countries. She financed the idea out of her own pocket with help from friends. Canes and training resources though widely available for free to the blind in the United States are not available in most developing countries.  Later she added the giving of audio bibles as a way for the blind and those that cannot read to hear God's word. In 2014 she enlisted the help of several people to serve as a board of directors and the name was changed to Global Cane Outreach. To date canes have been provided to the blind in Bolivia, South Africa, Ethiopia, Haiti and Guatemala but with your help we hope to reach many more countries. Global Cane Outreach also provides canes and mobility training to missionaries in an effort to give the gift of independence to a greater number of blind throughout the world. Please contact us if your organization would like this training.

Global Cane Outreach provides the canes and audio bibles as well as the training to use them for free. This service is only free because of the generous donations we receive.

Training Begins At The Refugio Iglesia (Calvary Chapel) With Founder of Global Cane Outreach, Beverly Crook

~So thankful for the missionaries who helped bring this team and for providing the training and cane for a young thirteen year old girl in village of Matara!~
